Massage Therapy: Relaxing and therapeutic, massage helps to reduce the severity of tight and sore muscles.
Electric muscle stimulation: This therapy relieves pain and reduces swelling and muscle spasm.
Ultrasound: Ultrasound therapy is excellent for relieving pain and reducing muscle spasm.
Exercise: We can offer guidance as to the specific exercises that will speed up your recovery.
Nutritional counseling: Eat healthily with specific guidance that will increase your wellness potential.
Massage therapy, in particular, offers tremendous benefit, especially when used in conjunction with chiropractic care. Most patients notice a significant improvement in a short period with this powerful combination, and they find that their adjustments hold for longer periods. Usually, we will deliver your adjustment first and then follow up with massage therapy. Some patients, however, prefer to have massage only, and that’s perfectly acceptable.
To be of the greatest service to you, Dr. Mark will also often evaluate your current eating and lifestyle habits and identify where change is needed. He’ll then make recommendations that will help you to feel better and improve your overall health. As part of his nutritional counseling, he may help modify your diet and offer specific supplementation.
We admire and respect all types of natural health care. If we feel that you could benefit from specialties that aren’t in our field of expertise, such as physical therapy or acupuncture, we also won’t hesitate to make those recommendations.
